Body Mass Index (Bmi) Defined
A measure to gauge total body fat which takes into account a person's weight and height. For adults, a BMI of 30 or more is considered obese. For children, proper determination of BMI depends on additional factors. In addition, the percentage of obese or overweight children is at or above 30 percent in 30 states.
